The Bookwright is Back

After a gap of far too many years, my author's mentor persona is making a comeback. This is parallel with me publishing in print again after a gap of more than five years.

So Time Restored, a novella, will be out this month - a nice way of me reminding myself of the publishing process.

And the first book in the Chromatic Arcana series, a far more substantial tome, will be out by the Summer Solstice.

What is a Bookwright?

I came across the very notion of a 'bookwright' in a dream, after attending a workshop at a book festival with a playwright. It turned out that they don't just write the script but get involved with staging, lighting, music and the actors.

So I realised writing a book isn't just about getting the words out on paper. Rather, it is about the transformation from non-author to author and all the doors that opens ...

Of course, much has happened in the publishing world since the Bookwright first arrived back in 2006. And I now have 20 of my own books under my belt. Accordingly, I now cover the new and myriad ways to get published and how we can use AI as our writing buddy and co-creator.
